Walden wins 6 red event
|
13.07.2008 |
|
World number 35 Ricky Walden came through an impressive field of top professional and international players to take the Samsong 6 red international title in Bangkok today. Ricky
beat Stuart Bingham 8-3 in the final after some superb results over the last few days to reach that point. Ricky finished 2nd in his group behind Phaithoon Phonbun but then saw off the challenges of Tom Ford, Aditya Mehta,
Jimmy Michie and then local favorite James Wattana. The jury is still out on 6-red snooker in this side of the world but it looks like it's here to stay after this hugely successful event.
