Ali Asghar
Valika, President of the PBSA said that the officials of the national body had approached quite a few institutions and individuals for mustering their support for Saleh, who has made the country proud with his record-breaking feat.
“The PBSA has done it in the past as well. We approach the patrons of sports and convince them to recognise the cueists for bringing laurels for the country,” the PBSA President believed.
“The Asian Confederation of Billiards Sports (ACBS) has already presented him a special cash award of US$1,000 while the UAE Billiards and Snooker Association gave him US$5000 in cash besides presenting a watch worth 5000 Dirham for Saleh’s perfect break of 147,” Asghar Valika recalled. Saleh got off to a sensational start by cracking the magnificent break of 147 on the opening day of the Asian Championship.
