Perry defeats Davis to continue superb league form  |

Joe Perry defeated Steve Davis tonight building on his superb debut win over Ronnie O'Sullivan last week. Perry ran out a 4-2 winner over Davis who had earlier that day qualified for the
Grand Prix with a superb 5-4 win over Tom Ford. Perry lost the first frame of the night but then notched up four frames in a row with a top run of 80. Davis however fought back to take the last frame of the night and
earn himself another £1,000.

In the other match on the night Mark Selby made it two wins in a row with a 5-1 win over Stephen Hendry going 4-0 with breaks of 59, 43, 40 and 50 before Hendry hit
back with a 52 in the 5th to stop the rot. Selby however took the final frame as Hendry loses his first match of the league.
