Borg sets his sights on main tour return

Alex Borg is among the favorites to take the International Open title on Thursday in Poland and certainly showed that knocking in breaks of 105, 98, 77, 67, 56 in his group matches today. Alex won four matches in a row without dropping a frame on his way to qualifying for the Last 32 where he faced Shaul Eliau from Israel. 

Alex then beat Farhan Mirza 3-0 in the Last 16 to be the first to qualify for the quarters. The ex-pro and two time European Champion  is now only three wins away from a return to the pro ranks.  

Another few ex professionals are still involved also with Patrick Einsle set to meet Bjorn Haneveer in the Last 16 while Stefan Mazrocis faces Piotr Majcherczyk. 

Come Thursday night EBSA will have another nomination for the WSA following Kevin Van Hove from last season but who will it be. Follow the scores right here
