Declan Brennan attends PJ Nolan Academy

15 year old Northern Ireland snooker star Declan Brennan from Newry who is regarded as one of the best junior snooker players in the world has just announced he will attend a one week training camp with PJ Nolan in Carlow.  Declan is the latest player from outside the Republic of Ireland who has contacted PJ to train in the new RIBSA training Academy of Champions. The youngster will begin his training camp in Carlow from the 28th July to the 2nd August.

Declan will travel to Carlow to receive training from PJ Nolan in his preparation for the new Northern Ireland snooker season. His practice schedule will be a 7 – 8 hour daily practice which will be broke into a morning and afternoon sessions. 

Declan will practice PJ’s specific training routines and attempt to set academy records in his training workbook while working on fine tuning his technique, cue ball control and concentration. He will be videoed during his daily training sessions and these DVD ‘s will be analyzed by Declan in the evenings. 

Using video analyses which allows the player to watch themselves on DVD’s during the camp and later as a coaching aid when they return home for remembering the practice routines and key points from the camp is why PJ believes the RIBSA snooker training academy of champions unique. 

Most of the camp will be one to one solo training with PJ working on practice routines but PJ has already arranged matches against some of the other top players in the PJ Nolan academy of champions. 

Declan will finish off his training camp with a snooker tournament on Saturday 2nd August when he will compete in the Ivy Rooms U-19 Open snooker event which promises to be a great event with all the leading players from the Irish u-19 and u-16 national team players already entered the event
