World Snooker Championship finalist Ali Carter landed his second career title when he beat Marco Fu in the final of the Huangshan Cup.
Carter only took part in the invitational event staged in Hefei, China, as a late replacement for his Crucible final conqueror Ronnie O'Sullivan - who was a late withdrawal from the tournament.
Essex cueman Carter went on to claim just the second tournament success of his 12-year professional career thanks to a 5-3 win over Hong Kong's Fu in the final.
28-year-old Carter had led 2-0 but a 139 clearance from Fu helped him claw back that early advantage to square the game at 3-3.
Carter has been in good form this season though as he has risen up the rankings to a career-best number seven provisionally.
Grand Prix champion Fu was unable to match Carter after drawing level though, and the man from Tiptree took the next two frames to clinch his second victory - following a qualifying event success for
the 2000 Wembley Masters.
Carter defeated home favourite Ding Junhui 5-3 in the semis, with the Chinese number one donating his £10,000 prize to the disaster fund set up for victims of the Sichuan earthquake.
Along with his tournament victory, Carter has won a place in the elite 12-man field for the Jiangsu Classic, another Chinese invitational which starts on June 4.
